Studio 14 Denia - About us

Christine, who has lived in Denia for over 25 years, began Studio 14 Denia in 2002.  The aims of Studio 14 Denia are to offer a complete sewing service, something, which is difficult to find on the Costa Blanca.

Sales:-  She first began to use Baby Lock in 1974, while studying Fashion Design in York.  She bought her first 'over-locker' the same year and has been using Baby Lock ever since.  Baby Lock was invented in 1964. Please see the Baby Lock History page).  It was the reliability of the machines that prompted her to start selling them.  Spares, if needed, are available for 20 years. Studio 14 is the only Baby Lock Authorised Dealer for Spain.  All the instruction books are in English.  There is also an after sales service and full tuition on the machines.

Service:-  Along with her husband Bill and friend Mike who is a retired sewing machine repairer, Studio 14 Denia can service and repair your Baby Lock sewing machine and most other makes of sewing machine, providing the parts are still available.

Teaching:- Studio 14 Denia has a sewing class each week.  This is a very informal class and most ladies bring along sewing that they want help or advice with.  Christine is very knowledgeable in short cuts and easy sewing techniques that enable projects to be completed quickly and proficiently.  Fitting is also an important point and pattern alterations are an essential part of teaching.

Custom Sewing and Alterations:- For ladies or gents who cannot sew.  Studio 14 Denia has a complete workshop for the making of clothes or making alterations to clothes using specialist machines and hand sewing techniques to give a professional finish.

Butterick and McCall Sewing Patterns:- Studio 14 Denia has a pattern ordering service, with which ladies can order patterns and collect them a few days later, or sent to their home address.

New collection point:- Studio 14 Denia now has a new collection point at Ciudad Quesada.
